About Noa

Noa Mendelevitch is a passionate artist, designer and educator who picked up her first paint brush at the age of five and hasn’t stopped painting since. Noa’s love of science, the natural world, and literature inspires her to explore the web of worlds that human beings inhabit. Noa’s work is influenced by Expressionism, Surrealism, as well as Nature and Science Photography. Noa has lived on three continents and has been based in the Bay Area since 1999. Noa studied Architecture, Multi Media, Fashion, Marketing and Design Thinking in the United States and abroad and considers iteration to be the best teacher of all.

Artist Statement

I am amazed by the multitude of worlds I inhabit, the world of my physical experiences, my inner world of thoughts and feelings, and the microscopic and subatomic worlds that comprise these. I often wonder about this multiverse and my place in it. My paintings are a living, breathing, daydreaming diary; they are the place I go to explore these thoughts and to make sense of events and objects that seem to be interconnected somehow. Mixed media frees me to be as wild or as disciplined as I choose to be in the now, and above all, to marvel at this beautiful life.
